Our story began in 1976, when Mary Lou Kramer founded Kramer Graphics as an art production studio in the basement of her home. From the beginning, Kramer set itself apart with attentive customer service, fast turnaround, and a pioneering spirit for technology. By 1988, Kramer was the first in the Dayton, Ohio, area to offer digital output from both Mac and PC platforms—redefining the region’s printing standards. 

 

For nearly 40 years, Kramer remained at the forefront of the graphics industry, with specialties in outdoor advertising, point-of-purchase signage, and custom display solutions. Operating out of a 70,000-square-foot facility running 24/7, the company met customer demands with consistent innovation and quality. Under the leadership of Mary Lou’s children, John and Kelley, Kramer continued to grow, expanding both its capabilities and its client base. 

 

In October 2013, Outdoor Image was established in Duluth, Georgia, drawing on expertise from the packaging, corrugated, and outdoor advertising industries. The company rapidly earned a reputation as a major provider of bulletins and banners, known for its agile service and competitive pricing. 

 

On December 20, 2019, Outdoor Image acquired Kramer Graphics. This merger not only amplified our capacity and reach nationwide but also brought Kramer’s legacy of excellence into a new era. The expanded organization continues under the Outdoor Image brand, operating from facilities in Duluth, GA, and Dayton, OH. 

As part of this growth, we launched a significant expansion of our Design Center in February 2020. While we’ve long served our clients’ digital signage and point-of-purchase needs, the enhanced design hub now allows us to approach projects more collaboratively and creatively—solving customer challenges at a personal and customized level.
